Informação sobre produto
Methyl 5-bromo-2-(dibromomethyl)benzoate (MBDB) is a thyroid hormone agonist that has been shown to be effective in animal models of atherosclerosis. MBDB was found to be the most potent thyroid hormone receptor agonist for the treatment of hyperlipidemia and diabetes, as well as for the prevention of thyroid cancer. It also has some hypothyroidism properties, which may be due to its ability to stimulate the release of thyroxin from the thyroid gland. MBDB also binds to a class of receptors called peroxisome proliferator activated receptors (PPARs), which are involved in regulating lipid metabolism and cell proliferation, among other functions.
