Informação sobre produto
Methyl 3-(2,4-dioxo-3,4-dihydropyrimidin-1(2H)-yl)propanoate is a uracil derivative with a monoclinic crystal structure. It is an inhibitor of bacterial RNA polymerase and has been shown to bind to the ribosomal RNA binding site in the bacterial 30S subunit. This antibiotic has also been shown to inhibit protein synthesis by binding to the 23S rRNA of bacterial ribosomes. Methyl 3-(2,4-dioxo-3,4-dihydropyrimidin-1(2H)-yl)propanoate has also been shown to inhibit erythrocyte pyruvate kinase activity as well as decrease glucose uptake in rat muscle cells.
