Informação sobre produto
KKL-35 is a molecule that belongs to the oxadiazole class and has potent antibacterial activity against human pathogens. It is bactericidal to both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, including some multidrug resistant strains. KKL-35 is also effective against tuberculosis, but not as broad spectrum as other antibiotics. The mechanism of action of KKL-35 has been shown to be due to its ability to inhibit protein synthesis in bacteria by binding to the ribosomal 50S subunit and preventing peptide bond formation by blocking the entry of tRNA. In addition, KKL-35 has been shown to have a bacteriostatic effect on macrophages and prevents the activation of these cells. This drug also inhibits the growth of Mycobacterium tuberculosis in cell culture.
