RHPS 4 methosulfate is a telomerase inhibitor that can be used for the treatment of autoimmune diseases and cancer. It has been shown to inhibit the activity of telomerase and to prevent telomere elongation in vitro. RHPS 4 methosulfate also prevents the formation of intramolecular hydrogen bonds between the phosphate groups in DNA, which may contribute to its ability to inhibit viral replication. This compound has been shown to have inhibitory properties against both mitochondrial membrane potential and infectious diseases in vivo.
