This compound has shown biological interactions with residues on the GABA receptor’s alpha subunit. N-(2-Acetylphenyl)Octanamide also interacts with residues on the beta subunit, leading to changes in the chloride channel’s opening time. These interactions may be responsible for its modulatory effects on the GABA receptor.
