- hydrazine, (tetrahydro-2H-pyran-4-yl)-
- Tetrahydro-2H-pyran-4-ylhydrazin
(Tetrahydropyranyl)hydrazine is a synthetic, metal-catalyzed hydrocarbon molecule that is used as a catalyst. It is typically employed in the oxidation of hydrocarbons and hydrogenation of organic compounds. Oxidation reactions with (tetrahydropyranyl)hydrazine yield the corresponding carboxylic acid salt. In addition, it can be used to produce other types of salts from carboxylic acids by reaction with an appropriate base. This compound has been shown to be a catalyst for the synthesis of various metal oxides, including nickel oxide and copper oxide.
