4-Bromo-5-chloro-2-phenylthiazole is an organic compound that belongs to the thiophene class. This heterocyclic compound contains two adjacent phenyl groups and a bromine atom on one of the carbon atoms. The substituents on this molecule are a hydrogen atom, two bromine atoms, one chlorine atom, and one alkene group. It can be prepared by reacting 4-bromobenzaldehyde with 2-chloroacetophenone in the presence of palladium as a catalyst.
