3,4,5,6-Tetrakis(carbazol-9-yl)-1,2-dicyanobenzene (TCDD) is a pediatric drug that is used to treat autoimmune diseases in infants. It is also used to diagnose and characterize various malignancies. TCDD has been shown to inhibit the growth of bacteria by binding to bacterial DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV enzymes. This inhibits bacterial cell division and DNA replication. It also may be effective for the treatment of autoimmune diseases such as hypovitaminosis and symptoms associated with this disease. TCDD has been shown to have anti-cancer properties due to its ability to bind to the cellular DNA of cancer cells. TCDD can be used as a diagnostic agent for bacterial vaginosis by measuring the concentration of this drug in vaginal secretions. It can also be used for fertility treatments because it stimulates ovulation in infertile women.br>
