Descrição:MS417 is a potent antagonist of the protein erythropoietin receptor and has shown to be effective in the treatment of tumor cells. The drug binds to the erythropoietin receptor, blocking the signal transduction pathway that leads to cell proliferation. MS417 has been shown to inhibit tumor growth in an experimental model and is currently being tested in clinical trials for cardiac dysfunction and treatment of HIV infection. It also inhibits the production of histones proteins that are involved in epigenetic regulation of gene expression.
