1-Chloro-4-cyclopropoxybenzene is a cyclopropane derivative that is used in the acylation or halogenation of organic compounds, as well as in the synthesis of other chemicals. 1-Chloro-4-cyclopropoxybenzene is stable and can be used for both electrophilic and nucleophilic reactions. It also undergoes cleavage reactions with heat or acid to yield propionaldehyde, ethers, and phenyl ethers. The three membered ring can be nitrated to form a nitro group. 1-Chloro-4-cyclopropoxybenzene reacts with phenyl to form a stable benzene ring.
