PF-06747711 has been shown to be a potent inhibitor of inflammation and autoimmune diseases. It selectively binds with high affinity to RAR-α, RAR-γ, and RAR-β isoforms, as well as with low affinity to other retinoic acid receptor isoforms (RAR-β2 and RAR-δ). This drug also has proinflammatory effects on cytokine production.
