4-tert-Butyl-2-chloroaniline is an antifungal agent that belongs to the group of quinoline derivatives. It is fungicidal and exhibits broad antifungal activity. 4-tert-Butyl-2-chloroaniline has been shown to inhibit the growth of fungi, such as pyricularia, by inhibiting their respiration. The compound also inhibits the synthesis of ribonucleic acid (RNA) in fungi and exerts a fungicidal effect on Candida albicans and other fungi by inhibiting protein synthesis.
