This compound has been immobilized on silicon surfaces and coated with silanes, which are surface-modifying agents. The immobilization method was found to be successful in preventing the release of 4-(allyloxy)benzophenone from the surface, thus leading to increased activity against Brucella. This compound also has shown promising properties as a gas sensor and as a target tissue for drug delivery.
