Informação sobre produto
(S)-2,6-Bis(dimethylamino)hexanoic acid is a chiral compound that has two sets of resonance structures. The kinetic data for this molecule shows that the conversion of (S)-2,6-Bis(dimethylamino)hexanoic acid to its methyl ester occurs reductively and with transfer of one proton. This reaction is reversible and the rate of deprotonation increases with increasing temperature. The methyl ester absorbs at 1760 cm-1 in the infrared spectrum and at 2900 cm-1 in the proton NMR spectrum. The populations of each enantiomer are constant in time as shown by the 1H NMR spectrum.
