Descrição:
1-(4-Iodophenyl)pyrrole (1-IP) is a bromoarene that can be biodegraded. It has been shown to react with nitroarenes, amines, and chlorine. 1-IP is thermally stable and can be used as a catalyst for reactions involving gaseous substrates. It has been shown to catalyze the synthesis of chlorides from choline and fluorine at room temperature. This reaction also produces large quantities of hydrogen chloride gas, which may pose safety hazards if not handled properly. 1-IP is reusable and has a high yield in the synthesis of chlorides.
