Informação sobre produto
2,6-Di(2H-1,2,3-triazol-4-yl)pyridine is a coordination compound that is a member of the xanthene class. It has been shown to bind to bacterial cells in an effort to inhibit the activity of DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV. 2,6-Di(2H-1,2,3-triazol-4-yl)pyridine also has been used as a supramolecular scaffold for the design of biomimetic systems that mimic the function of natural enzymes. This compound can be synthesized by reacting 2-(hydroxymethyl)-6-[(2H-1,2,3-triazol-4-yl)amino]pyridine with potassium hydroxide in methanol. The pyridinium cation is formed by deprotonation. This reaction produces the triazolium salt that
