1-(tert-butoxycarbonyl)-1H-indole-5-boronic acid is a boronic acid that can be used as a palladium catalyst for coupling reactions. It has been shown to form nanoparticles with high purity when combined with glycol and heated to reflux. This compound is also soluble in organic solvents, making it useful in organic chemistry. 1-(tert-Butoxycarbonyl)-1H-indole-5-boronic acid is commonly used as an electron donor in cross-coupling reactions and has been shown to catalyze the formation of polyethylene glycols. This compound is also useful in microscopy because it can be used as a fluorescence probe and can be detected by electron microscopy.
