Tris[4'-(2-thienyl)-4-biphenylyl]amine is a synthetic semiconductor that can be immobilized on a polymer film. It has been shown to be an efficient chemotherapeutic agent, which may be due to its ability to inhibit homologous recombination repair and DNA replication. Tris[4'-(2-thienyl)-4-biphenylyl]amine has been used as a fluorescent indicator for the detection of rubrene and perovskite in organic films. Tris[4'-(2-thienyl)-4-biphenylyl]amine has also been used in the Suzuki coupling reaction for the synthesis of polymers.
