N-Acetylputrescine hydrochloride is an amino acid derivative that has been shown to have a trophic effect on the gut and to inhibit cancer. The compound is currently being studied as a potential treatment for cancer. N-Acetylputrescine hydrochloride inhibits the growth of intestinal cancer cells by blocking the growth of new blood vessels in tumors, which stops tumor growth and leads to regression. N-Acetylputrescine hydrochloride also stimulates the immune system by increasing T cell levels in the colon, which promotes immunosurveillance and may lead to regression of tumor cells.
