• Descrição: Imidazole hydroiodide (IHI) is a chemical compound that has been shown to have anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. It binds to the receptor site in the intestine, which causes an increase in the absorption of electrolytes and water, thereby alleviating diarrhea. IHI is also used to treat metabolic disorders such as diabetes mellitus and hyperlipidemia. In addition, IHI has been shown to reduce inflammatory bowel disease in mice by inhibiting the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines, such as IL-1β, TNF-α, and IL-6.
