4-(4-Benzylphenyl)-1,3-thiazol-2-amine is a synthetic molecule that has been shown to inhibit neutrophil aminopeptidase activity. It also inhibits the production of leukotriene A4 and B by blocking the release of arachidonic acid from phospholipids. This drug also has bone density increasing effects, which may be due to its ability to increase osteoblastic proliferation. 4-(4-Benzylphenyl)-1,3-thiazol-2-amine accommodates two functional groups in one molecule and can bind both the enzyme and the substrate.
