Chamaechromone is a naturally occurring organic compound that is used as an extractant in the purification of pharmaceuticals. As a chromatographic eluent, it has been shown to be effective in removing environmental pollutants from water samples. Chamaechromone has also been shown to have anti-cancer properties, which may be due to its ability to induce apoptosis and inhibit tumor growth. The pharmacokinetic study of chamaechromone demonstrates that it is absorbed orally and rapidly distributed throughout the body. It is eliminated from plasma within 2 hours with a half-life of approximately 1 hour.
