5-Bromo-3-iodo-1-((2-(trimethylsilyl)ethoxy)methyl)-1H-indazole is an indazole derivative that inhibits the enzyme NADPH oxidase, which is an enzyme involved in the production of free radicals and inflammation. 5-Bromo-3-iodo-1-(2-(trimethylsilyl)ethoxy)methyl)-1H-indazole has been shown to inhibit the enzymes NADPH oxidase and nitric oxide synthase. The mechanism by which it inhibits the enzyme is not clear, but may be due to its ability to bind to the active site of the enzyme.
