CP 673451 is a growth factor that binds to the Flt3 tyrosine kinase. It has been shown to inhibit the proliferation of endothelial cells and cancer cells in culture. CP 673451 also inhibits the growth of liver and eye tumours in mice by inducing apoptosis. This drug has also been shown to inhibit the development of new blood vessels, which may be due to its ability to reduce microvessel density in tissues.
