Informação sobre produto
SPHINX31 is a small-molecule drug that inhibits the expression of apolipoprotein and has been shown to be effective in treating eye disorders. SPHINX31 binds to splicing factor-1 and prevents it from binding to exons in pre-mRNA, preventing the production of mature mRNA. This leads to the termination of protein synthesis at the ribosome with no complete protein being produced, inhibiting growth factor and other factors involved in cancer cells. SPHINX31 also promotes tumor growth by inducing ectopic expression of genes encoding for angiogenic factors such as vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF). It also has been shown to inhibit cancer cell proliferation by blocking the activation of protein kinase B (AKT) and glycogen synthase kinase 3β (GSK3β).
SPHINX31 has a higher dose requirement than other drugs due to its ability to terminate mRNA translation at an earlier stage than other drugs.
