Informação sobre produto
- Quinazoline, 2-chloro-6,7-dimethoxy-
2-Chloro-6,7-dimethoxyquinazoline is a synthetic compound with the chemical formula C8H12ClN3O2. It has been used as an anti-hypertensive drug and may be synthesized in two steps from hexamethylphosphoramide and chloroaniline. The first step involves the synthesis of 2,6,7-trimethoxyquinazoline by reacting chloroaniline with hexamethylphosphoramide. In the second step, 2,6,7-trimethoxyquinazoline is reacted with nitrous acid to form 2-chloro-6,7-dimethoxyquinazoline. This process can also be reversed to produce 2-chloro-6,7-dimethoxyquinazoline from 2,6,7-trimethoxyquinazoline. The product can then be purified by column chromatography or recrystallization techniques.
