Taxus chinensis is a plant in the yew family that grows up to 10 meters tall and has bluish-green needle-like leaves. It is found in China, Taiwan, Korea, and Vietnam. Taxus contains a number of natural products that have been shown to be effective against cancer cells, including taxanes such as paclitaxel (trade name: Taxol) and docetaxel (trade name: Taxotere). These substances are derived from the bark of T. brevifolia plants.br>br>
