3-Sulfo-N-benzyl-1,8-naphthalimide potassium is an ion channel activator that has been shown to activate potassium channels in the nerve cells of rats. It is a potent inhibitor of the voltage-gated potassium channels Kv1.2 and Kv1.3 and can be used as a research tool for studying these channels. 3-Sulfo-N-benzyl-1,8-naphthalimide potassium also binds to the alpha subunit of the nicotinic acetylcholine receptor (nAChR) and can be used as an antibody for immunohistochemistry or Western blotting. 3SBNPK is a high purity compound with a CAS number of 1419321-16-6.
