Methyl 4-isopropylbenzoate is a reactive chemical that can be used to modify the properties of other compounds. The molecular weight of methyl 4-isopropylbenzoate is low enough that it can be used in diagnostic assays for determining levels of certain compounds such as terephthalic acid or difluoride.
