Informação sobre produto
Eugenol is a naturally occurring phenolic compound that is found in the oils of clove, nutmeg, and cinnamon. Eugenol has been shown to inhibit the growth of oral pathogens in a model system. Eugenol also inhibits the production of p-hydroxybenzoic acid and ferulic acid by interacting with coniferyl aldehyde reductase. This enzyme catalyzes the conversion of coniferyl aldehyde to p-hydroxybenzoic acid and ferulic acid. The polymerase chain reaction (PCR) technique was used to detect eugenol in various lignin samples. The presence of eugenol was confirmed using preparative high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC).
