Descrição:NS3763 is a drug that has been shown to have neuroprotective effects in animal models of epilepsy and stroke. It selectively inhibits the activity of the gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) receptor, which is an inhibitory neurotransmitter. NS3763 has also been shown to prevent glutamate-induced neuronal death in mice. This drug also blocks the activity of cation channels that are activated by GABA, resulting in depressed excitatory effects and decreased seizure susceptibility.
