Diprovocim-1 is a synthetic pyridine compound that inhibits the Toll-like receptor (TLR) signaling pathway by binding to the TLR4, which is necessary for the activation of T cells. It also inhibits tumor development and growth in mouse melanoma models. Diprovocim-1 has been shown to inhibit tumor growth in transgenic animals by targeting PD-L1 on tumor cells. The drug has also been shown to inhibit inflammation in mouse models of inflammatory diseases. This drug may be an effective therapeutic option for cancer patients who are resistant to other treatments, as well as for patients with inflammatory diseases.
Diprovocim-1 is not yet approved by the FDA or any other regulatory agency for use in humans.
