LP 533401 is a drug that has been shown to be effective in treating bowel disease. LP 533401 affects serotonin levels by inhibiting the production of serotonin from tryptophan and may also have a direct effect on serotonin receptors. This drug has been shown to have physiological effects such as systolic pressure, fetal bovine serum concentrations, and CD-1 mouse weight gain. The molecular docking analysis of this drug with serotonin receptor 1A (5HT1A) shows that it binds to the active site of the receptor and blocks its activity.
