N-Benzylpiperidin-4-amine is an orally bioavailable drug that is a potent and selective inhibitor of the enzyme methyltransferase. N-Benzylpiperidin-4-amine has shown efficacy in animal models of Alzheimer's disease and cancer, but clinical trials are still lacking.
