• Descrição: Saroglitazar is a drug that belongs to the class of peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor (PPAR) agonists. It has been shown to be an effective treatment for type 2 diabetes, and it is used to treat dyslipidemia and metabolic disorders. Saroglitazar has also been shown to have anti-inflammatory effects. Saroglitazar binds to PPAR receptors in the cell membrane, which leads to increased expression of lipoprotein lipase, a key enzyme in lipid metabolism. This effect results in an increase in the uptake of glucose from the blood into cells and improved insulin sensitivity.
