Zopiclone is a benzodiazepine that has been shown to have potent inducers of hepatic enzymes. It is used for the treatment of insomnia, but long-term use may lead to tolerance and dependence. Zopiclone binds to the receptor site for GABA, which is a neurotransmitter. It also affects other neurotransmitters such as monoamines, which are involved in mood control and arousal.
