Descrição:Methoxy(dimethyl)octadecylsilane is a silane cross-linking agent with a hydroxyl group. It is used in coatings, adhesives, and other polymeric matrices, as well as for the production of protonated methoxy groups. The hydroxyl group participates in the formation of hydrogen bonds and can form cross-links with other molecules in a solid phase microextraction process. Methoxy(dimethyl)octadecylsilane has been shown to be an effective corrosion inhibitor and to have growth factor activity. This compound is also capable of forming monolayers on the surface of cells that can be used for element analysis.
