1-Palmitoyl-2-docosahexenoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphatidylethanolamine is an analog of phosphatidylethanolamine with potential anticancer properties. It has been shown to inhibit the activity of several kinases, including cyclin-dependent protein kinase (CDK) and tumor protein kinase (TPK), which are involved in cancer cell growth and proliferation. This compound induces apoptosis in cancer cells and has been found in urine samples from patients with various types of cancer. In Chinese hamster ovary cells, this compound was found to be a potent inhibitor of CDK1/cyclin B and CDK2/cyclin A, resulting in G2/M phase arrest. This suggests its potential as an anticancer drug for the treatment of various types of tumors.
