Informação sobre produto
6-Bromo-1-isopropyl-3-methyl-1H-indole-4-carboxylic acid (BIMC) is a small molecule that has been identified as a novel therapeutic for autoimmune diseases. BIMC inhibits the activity of histone methyltransferases, which are enzymes that add methyl groups to histones and thereby regulate gene transcription. This drug also prevents the activation of antigen receptor by autoantigens, leading to the suppression of autoimmune disease. BIMC has been shown to have short term effects on cells in culture, but long term effects on the immune system are unknown.
