Descrição:
Mal-PEG4-OH is a methacrylate-terminated polyethylene glycol that has been modified with terminal amines. It is used as a macroinitiator for the synthesis of proteins with site-specific c-terminal modifications. Mal-PEG4-OH is compatible with all common fluorescent proteins, and it has been shown to be thermally stable up to 100°C. The ethylene glycol residue on Mal-PEG4-OH results in enhanced hydrophobicity and increased thermal stability. The cysteine residue found on this macromonomer is susceptible to stressors such as oxidation, which may alter its hydrophilic/hydrophobic balance.
