Informação sobre produto
- 2,3-Dimethoxy-6-Iodopyridine
6-Iodo-2,3-dimethoxypyridine is an anti-influenza drug that has been shown to inhibit the RNA polymerase of influenza virus. It binds to the active site of the enzyme and prevents it from synthesizing RNA. 6-Iodo-2,3-dimethoxypyridine inhibits the influenza virus by binding to metal ions and interfering with its replication process. The ligand is screened using fluorescence and enzymatic assays as well as a fluorescence assay. This agent also inhibits endonuclease activity, which may be due to its ability to bind to the endonuclease active site on the viral ribosomes.
