Archangelin is a natural compound that is found in some plants, including the common garden herb, Angelica archangelica. It is an oxygenated hydrocarbon that has been shown to have anti-aging effects on human skin cells. The acetate extract of this plant has been shown to be effective as a test drug for treating acne and rosacea. Archangelin can also be extracted from other umbelliferous plants, such as the related species, A. sinensis and A. longa.
