- 2-Thiazolamine, 4-(1H-indol-3-yl)-
4-(1H-Indol-3-yl)-thiazol-2-ylamine is a novel small molecule that has been shown to have anti-cancer activity. This drug induces apoptosis by activation of the caspase-3 pathway and minimal toxicity in human cells. 4-(1H-Indol-3-yl)-thiazol-2-ylamine has also been shown to be effective against cancer cells that are resistant to chemotherapeutic drugs. The drug's ability to inhibit cell proliferation may be due to its ability to activate p53, which is a cellular protein that regulates cell growth and death. 4-(1H-Indol-3-yl)-thiazol-2-ylamine activates caspase 3 in MDA MB231 breast cancer cells, leading to apoptosis or programmed cell death.
