Informação sobre produto
2-Benzoyl-cyclopropanecarboxylic acid is a cycloalkane carboxylic acid with two benzoyl groups. It is a reactive compound that undergoes fission in the presence of light and alkaline solution, forming 2-hydroxy-1-naphthaldehyde. The hydroxylic form of this compound can be converted to an n-oxide by photolysis or by treatment with hydrazine. 2-Benzoylcyclopropanecarboxylic acid may also be synthesized from pyrazine and cyclopropane. The optical activity of this compound is due to the fact that it has two chiral centers, which means it will rotate polarized light in opposite directions depending on the direction of its rotation.
