Descrição

Daphnetin dimethyl ether is a coumarin derivative that has been extracted from the acetate extract of Daphne cneorum. This compound has hypoglycemic effects, and is reactive with trifluoroacetic acid. It has shown to have inhibitory effects on squamous carcinoma cells, and inhibits growth factor-induced proliferation in lung cancer cells. Daphnetin dimethyl ether also inhibits the mitochondrial cytochrome P450 enzyme (CYP1A2) and reduces LPS-stimulated RAW 264.7 cell proliferation. This drug may interact with other drugs that are metabolized by CYP1A2, such as warfarin, erythromycin, or cyclosporine.
