• Descrição: Secorapamycin A is a small molecule activator of the protein tyrosine phosphatase-1b (PTP-1B). Secorapamycin A binds to PTP-1B and increases its activity, resulting in inhibition of the nuclear factor kappa B (NF-κB) pathway. Secorapamycin A has been shown to inhibit ion channels, such as potassium channels, and to bind to antibodies. This drug also binds to receptors, including ligand binding domain on the human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2), which is expressed in some breast cancer cells. Secorapamycin A has also been found to inhibit cell proliferation by inhibiting protein synthesis.
