Kaempferol-3,7-dirhamnoside is a flavonol glycoside that is found in plants such as grapes, apples, and oranges. It has been shown to have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Kaempferol-3,7-dirhamnoside also has the ability to protect against radiation damage to cells. This compound is biosynthesized from kaempferol via the shikimate pathway and is an intermediate in the synthesis of psicose. The structural analysis of this compound was performed using chromatographic techniques. Laser ablation was used to produce thin films with kaempferol-3,7-dirhamnoside for structural analysis by electron microscopy.
