Isocudraniaxanthone B is a xanthone that has been found to have anticancer activity. It is a potent inhibitor of the human cancer cell line, MCF-7. Isocudraniaxanthone B inhibits the growth of cancer cells by binding to their DNA, which inhibits transcription and replication. It also has physicochemical properties that make it a potential candidate for drug delivery systems. Isocudraniaxanthone B has been shown to inhibit the growth of MCF-7 cells with IC50 values of 2.5 μM in vitro and 0.5 μM in vivo, making it one of the most potent inhibitors for this cell line thus far discovered.
