Descripción:
Ivermectina es un agente antiparasitario de amplio espectro utilizado principalmente en medicina veterinaria y salud humana para el tratamiento de diversas infecciones parasitarias. Pertenece a la clase de lactonas macrocíclicas y se deriva de la bacteria Streptomyces avermitilis. El compuesto exhibe una estructura compleja caracterizada por un gran anillo de lactona y múltiples estereocentros, lo que contribuye a su actividad biológica.
