Descrizione:

Neohesperidin is a flavanone glycoside that is found in citrus fruits. It has been shown to have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Neohesperidin has been shown to inhibit the oxidation of p-hydroxybenzoic acid by dihydrochalcone, which in turn inhibits the production of reactive oxygen species (ROS). It also inhibits the activity of enzymes such as xanthine oxidase and cyclooxygenase, which are involved in ROS production. In addition, neohesperidin has been shown to have a synergistic effect with other antioxidants such as caffeic acid and ferulic acid. Neohesperidin is also able to induce gene expression of antioxidant response element (ARE) proteins. This ability may be due to its binding to nuclear factor E2-related factor 2 (Nrf2) and activation of Nrf2 target genes. The physiological effects of neohesperidin are not well known, but
